The short version.
- You own what you draw, including AI-generated drawings, and can use it commercially.
- Credits and subscriptions are non-refundable — we do not send money back. If a generation fails outright and you get no drawing, we return the credits for it.
- Drawings are made by software and AI. They are not stamped, not a substitute for a licensed
architect or engineer, and you are responsible for permits and code compliance.
- CADdillo is not affiliated with Autodesk. AutoCAD and DWG are Autodesk's marks, referenced
here only to describe file compatibility.
1. Who we are
CADdillo is a product of Quantum Armadillo, LLC, a Texas company. This site is
caddillo.com and the drafting app is at
app.caddillo.com. Using either means you agree
to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use CADdillo.
2. Accounts
Sign-in is by emailed magic link — there is no password, so there is nothing for us to store
or for someone else to guess. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read your email
can sign in as you.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to get around free-tier limits (the
signup credit grant, the free DWG export limit) is not allowed — see §6, Acceptable use.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including drawings
created, credits spent and charges made, whether or not you personally took the action.
-
Minimum age: you must be at least 13 years old to
create an account. The privacy policy currently states we do not
knowingly collect data from children under 13 — pick the number that policy should actually
enforce and this line will match it.
3. Credits and paid plans
CADdillo's AI drafting is metered in credits. This section states the rules
as the billing system actually enforces them.
What credits are and what they cost
- New accounts get a one-time signup grant of 50 credits.
- Different actions cost different numbers of credits. A simple command or edit costs
few; a full AI generation costs more; passes that involve image review or unusually
heavy processing cost more still. The credit cost of an action is shown in the
app before you take it, and that displayed cost is the authoritative one.
- Credit costs are variable and subject to change without notice. What an
action costs depends on the AI models it runs on, the size and complexity of your
request, and the rates our upstream model providers charge us — all of which change over
time and outside our control. We work to keep costs down, but we do not guarantee any
particular credit price for any action, and any rate quoted in marketing material,
documentation or support correspondence is indicative only and not a contractual
commitment. The in-app cost shown at the moment you act governs.
- Credits have no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred
to another account, or resold.
- Credits from a purchased pack or a Pro plan do not expire while your account is open,
unless a specific grant states otherwise at the time it is issued (for example, a
promotional grant may carry its own expiration, disclosed when it is granted).
Pro plans and credit packs
- Pro monthly — $20.00 USD/month, includes 300 credits per billing period,
billed on a recurring basis until cancelled.
- Pro yearly — $180.00 USD/year, includes 1,200 credits per billing period
(equivalent to 100/month, at a discount to the monthly price), billed annually until
cancelled.
- Credit packs (one-time, no subscription): 50 credits for $10, 120 credits
for $20, 200 credits for $30, or 400 credits for $50. Credit packs are available to Pro
subscribers (and account owners); they are not sold to free-tier accounts.
- All prices are in USD and do not include tax. Applicable sales tax is
calculated automatically at checkout based on your billing address and added to the
charge.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — see the
privacy policy.
No refunds
Credits and subscription charges are non-refundable. This applies to
one-time credit packs, monthly and yearly Pro subscription charges, and credits already
spent. We mean this plainly, and we back it with how failures are actually handled:
- If a generation fails outright — the engine errors out and you get no drawing —
we return the credits for it. That is not a refund of money; it is us not charging you
for something that did not happen. Credits returned this way go back to your balance,
not to your card.
- A generation that produces a drawing you simply do not like is a different case. Those
credits are spent. The drawing stays yours, and support can help you get to a better
result — but we do not return credits because the output disappointed you.
- Cancelling a Pro subscription stops future renewal; it does not refund the current
billing period, and any credits already granted for that period remain usable until
they would otherwise expire.
- This policy exists because credits are consumed by real compute cost (AI model calls,
conversion processing) at the moment they are spent — not because we are indifferent to
a bad outcome. Tell us when something goes wrong; we fix the product. What we do not do
is send money back.
4. What you own
You own the drawings, floor plans, DXF/DWG files and other output you create with CADdillo,
including drawings drafted by the AI engine from your description. You may use them
commercially, including in construction documents, client deliverables and anything you bill
for, subject to §5 (AI outputs and no engineering advice) below.
To run the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process and transmit your files
and drawing data as needed to provide CADdillo to you — for example, saving a drawing to your
account, or sending drawing context to the AI model when you ask it to make a change. We do
not use your drawings to train AI models, and we do not sell them. See the
privacy policy for the full detail on what is stored, what is not, and
for how long.
Public catalog: drawings made on the free tier may be included, without your name or email, in a public template and example catalog on the site. This is on by default. You can opt out at any time by emailing contact@caddillo.com from your account address, and we remove your drawings from the catalog within a few days.
5. AI outputs and no engineering advice
This matters more here than almost anywhere else on the site, so it is stated as plainly as
we can manage.
- Drawings produced by CADdillo — including anything drafted by the AI engine ("Dillo
Bot") — are generated by software and may contain errors: wrong dimensions, missing
elements, code citations that do not apply to your jurisdiction, or geometry that looks
right and is not.
- Nothing CADdillo produces is stamped, sealed, or reviewed by a licensed architect or
engineer. It is not a substitute for one.
- Any reference to a building code, standard or dimension convention in a drawing or on a
block/room page is informational context for drafting, not a compliance determination.
Code adoption and amendment are local and change over time.
- You are solely responsible for verifying dimensions, clearances and code compliance
against the governing standard for your project and jurisdiction, and for obtaining any
permits required before anything is built from a CADdillo drawing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use CADdillo for anything unlawful, or to create content that is unlawful, infringing or
fraudulent.
- Scrape, crawl or make automated bulk requests against the site, the app, or the API
outside of normal interactive use.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the CADdillo editor,
converter, or AI drafting engine.
- Resell, sublicense or rebrand access to CADdillo as your own service.
- Create multiple accounts to accumulate more free signup credits or free DWG exports than
a single account is meant to receive.
We may suspend or terminate an account that does any of the above, without a refund of any
remaining credit balance in the case of clear abuse.
7. Third-party services we rely on
Running CADdillo requires a few third parties, and files or account data pass through them
as part of providing the service:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, bot protection, and cookieless web analytics.
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions and credit packs. Card data
goes directly to Stripe; we never receive it.
- SendGrid — sends sign-in links and account/support email.
- AI model providers — power the Dillo Bot drafting engine. Only the
content needed to answer your request (your prompt, plus the drawing context required)
is sent, and only when you use the AI features.
Full detail on what each service sees is in the privacy policy.
8. Trademarks
AutoCAD, DWG, TrustedDWG and
RealDWG are trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. CADdillo is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, or sponsored by Autodesk. References to DWG and DXF describe file format
compatibility only.
A file CADdillo writes as DWG may show a notice when opened in AutoCAD stating that it was
not created by an Autodesk application. This is normal and expected: it is the same notice
AutoCAD shows for any file written by third-party CAD software, and it does not indicate a
defect in the file.
The CADdillo name and armadillo logo are our own trademarks. The CAD block library is
released separately under its own public-domain dedication — see the
license page — but that license does not extend to the CADdillo
software, brand, or this website.
9. What we own
The CADdillo software (the editor, converters, AI drafting engine and this website), our
templates and patterns, and our trademarks are the property of Quantum Armadillo, LLC. Nothing in these
terms transfers ownership of the software to you — you get a right to use it as described
here, not a copy of it to keep.
10. DMCA and copyright complaints
If you believe content on CADdillo infringes your copyright, contact
contact@caddillo.com with a description of the
work, the material you believe infringes it, and your contact information. We will
investigate and respond.
11. Termination
You may stop using CADdillo and delete your account at any time from the app, or by asking
through the contact form. We may suspend or terminate access for
violation of these terms, including the acceptable-use rules in §6. Sections that by their
nature should survive termination — ownership, no-refunds, disclaimers, limitation of
liability — do survive it.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
CADDILLO IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the service will be
uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quantum Armadillo, LLC's total liability to you for any claim
arising from your use of CADdillo is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months
before the claim arose.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will update the "Last updated" date at
the top of this page when we do. For a change we consider material, we will make a
reasonable effort to notify account holders before it takes effect, the same way we handle
material changes to the privacy policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict
of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of CADdillo will be
brought in the state or federal courts located in
Harris County, Texas, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
15. Contact
Use the contact form, or email
contact@caddillo.com. A real person reads it.
